Benefits of Digital Signage for Restaurants
If you’re a restaurateur seeking expansion in a new location for your existing restaurant brand, what steps do you take when considering audio visual solutions for your customers? As the cost of flat panel HDTVs has dropped, more and more restaurants are looking to interact with their customers, prospects and employees through the use of digital signage solutions.
One of our manufacturing partners is NEC, which is well-equipped to tailor display systems designed specifically for restaurants. In a recent white paper, NEC outlined the new uses for audio-visual solutions in restaurants, from digital men
us to interactive entertainment options. The benefits to restaurants are numerous – here are a few:
Digital signage reinforces your brand image: Digital signage can power your brand with a consistent promotional message. Logos look great on professional HD and LCD screens, and combined with NEC’s award-winning SpectraViewII™ technology, the look far surpasses the varying reproduction quality of printed signage.
Digital signage decreases perceived wait time: 20 minute wait for a table? No more customer complaints with a professional audio-visual display system. Use the waiting room screen to get customers excited about their impending dining experience, or use it to promote the restaurant’s seasonal promotions, daily specials and new product offerings.
Digital signage entertains your customer: Digital signage can entertain your customers throughout their dining experience. TV dinners have become commonplace among American families (for better or for worse), so having screens around will put your customer right at home.
Digital signage can help minimize waste and food spoilage: Some restaurants use the visual screens to post daily specials on menu items that are either low in stock or not selling well. Say goodbye to chalkboard scribbles.
Digital signage connects your staff: Having a digital display system facilitates communication among your employees — from hosting, to the wait staff, to the kitchen. Tables are turned over more quickly and orders are fulfilled more efficiently.
Digital signage saves on costs: Forget about window signs or in-restaurant sign boards. Digital screens are easier to change, moving straight from design phase to live display. No more waiting on printed materials or paying extra for fast shipping. Play that photo or video slideshow for your customers, and save on costs.
These are just some of the ways that audio-visual solutions like those outlined by NEC can help restaurants provide better atmosphere for their customers and their own staff. Innovative Audio-Visual Technology Solutions Grow in Luxury Hotels
We often get to work on innovative projects with great manufacturers of audio-visual equipment who themselves work with some of the world’s leading technology companies. When these great partnerships happen, exciting projects take shape.
Some of the more exciting projects happening in audio-visual technology solutions are in luxury hotels. Digital Trends Magazine writes about how high-end technologies are making guest stays at luxury hotels that much more enjoyable.
“Technology is an important part of the home, and what better way for hoteliers to make guests feel at home than to provide them with state-of-the-art technological amenities? We are talking about a deeper level of connectivity than a simple iPod dock, or a reliable Internet connection in your hotel room. The trend in luxury hotels across the globe is a simple touchscreen with an easy-to-use graphic user interface that can control all your room’s amenities, such as lighting, air conditioning, TV, movies and music. These systems also have the capability to handle communication with the front desk, housekeeping, concierge, and checkout. The modern hotel also offers staff facility-wide monitoring and management capabilities.
“In fact, most of the major control companies are already entrenched in the hotel market, from Control4 to Crestron and AMX to Apple. Needless to say, hoteliers are jumping on the control bandwagon, which is the “wow” amenity of the moment that puts luxury hotels a cut above.”
We wrote about how one of our manufacturers Crestron was making life easier for Microsoft managers. Crestron’s ingenuity is noted in the article on their technology solutions work in hospitality projects:
“Crestron’s Hospitality solution is up to the challenge, monitoring and managing centralized AV sources and lighting controls for all areas of a hotel from a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android device and a local Crestron touch screen. As with Control4 systems, Crestron’s offers a number of ways to cut back on electricity consumption, from dimming systems to occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting. In-room amenities, including security, AV, and HVAC are standard.
The environmentally minded Gateway Canyon Resort in Gateway, Colorado, for example, uses a Crestron system to control hotel-wide functions, including the Kiva Lodge, a 38-room hotel with fitness center, spa, café and pool area. The Crestron CP2E system controls AV and background music distribution throughout the lodge. Wall-mount touch screens and keypads adorn the luxury space for walk-up, one-touch control.”
If you have more interest in knowing how audio-visual technology solutions are taking shape in luxury hotels, then click over to the story. CCS Presentation Systems is one of the leading providers of audio video products and solutions in the nation. Our company is currently ranked the 3rd largest audio visual systems U.S. integrator (System Contractor News).
CCS provides high-quality, on-time project installations of any size in the most demanding of environments – from simple accessories to multi-million dollar audio-visual integration projects, from school classrooms to world-class resorts, CCS provides superior audio video products, services, and solutions to meet the unique needs of every client.
Digital Signage Solutions from CCS Presentation Systems
Seeing flat panel HDTVs is so commonplace now, it’s hard to imagine a time when we were installing large, bulky back-end heavy television and monitoring systems.
Just take a look today at Talking Stick Casino, in Scottsdale, AZ. It’s an exemplary look at how flat-panel HDTVs can turn an ordinary poker room into a sparkling gem. Technical systems integration specialists CCS Presentation Systems helped develop an audio-visual system for Talking Stick Resort’s poker room, one of the largest professional poker rooms in the United States. CCS developed with Talking Stick management a video wall comprised of 15 separate 103-inch Panasonic plasma displays. CCS also installed more than 1,000 speakers in 38 different zones throughout the property.
Here’s a short video that shows the range of flat-panel monitors that CCS installed at Talking Stick Casino:
It’s a marvel of work that would not have been complete with new advancements in the way that processes are done and cabling systems get installed. As the cost of flat panel HDTVs has dropped, more and more companies are looking to interact with their customers, prospects and employees through the use of digital signage solutions.
CCS Audio Visual Solutions Partner Crestron Advances Microsoft’s Meeting Room Technology
At CCS Presentation Systems, we often work with great manufacturers of audio-visual equipment who themselves work with some of the world’s leading technology companies. Crestron Electronics is one of those companies.
Crestron is a leader in advanced home, campus & building control automation solutions. With offices all over the globe, Crestron is the go-to manufacturer and system provider for audio visual solutions for homes, offices, schools, hospitals, hotels and more. That’s the reason global giants like Microsoft Corporation sought out Crestron’s expertise.
Microsoft’s global facility managers faced an issue – they struggled with conference room availability issues. Even with 3,400 conference rooms in North America alone, Microsoft employees would take whatever rooms th
ey could find. Attendees for scheduled meetings found themselves in dispute with others, and scheduled rooms would go empty when organizers cancelled meetings but didn’t update the calendar. Microsoft’s Real Estate and Facilities team knew they had to bring about a renewed efficiency and meaningful cost controls for standard and room management processes.
Enter Crestron. After evaluating all available vendor solutions, Microsoft standardized on Crestron hardware and software products across its enterprise, including iLux® for lighting and shade control, MPCs (wall mount media presentation controllers) for in-room device control, TPMC-8L touchpanels for Hallway Display and Crestron Roomview® to fulfill the RDM (Remote Device Management) requirement.
As the software bridge between the MPCs and Exchange, RoomView enables room scheduling from touchpanels, remote asset management, and provides the reporting tools and usage data RE&F employs to redefine conference space standards at Microsoft, including the technology installed in conference rooms and the number of room types built in a new Microsoft office building. Crestron DigitalMediaTM (DM) was implemented to manage and distribute HDMI with HDCP with legacy analog support, all in a cost effective, single-cable solution.
It’s part of our mission at CCS to work with great partners and we’re happy to count Crestron among them. CCS is authorized reseller for leading audio visual equipment manufacturers including Altinex, AMX, Crown, Crestron, Da-lite, Epson, Mitsubishi, NEC, Panasonic, Polycom, Shure, SMART Technologies, SONY, Tandberg and many others. The specialization and depth of audio visual services offered by CCS Presentation Systems, including design, installation and training, allows the complete fulfillment of a wide range of audio visual solutions and technical systems integration throughout the great Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona.
